I wanted to take a few minutes and update all of the individuals who have worked with CXC in 2020 on the latest news and resources for Apartment industry professionals. We will also be posting these links on our social media sites. As more cities and counties put “Shelter in Place” orders and more of our clients close their offices to visitors and reduce staff to handle only essential functions, we will see a significant drop in demand for a few weeks. We do feel confident orders and demand will significantly increase as these orders expire and we all start to return to a more normalized work schedule. Since Housing is considered an Essential Business, we will not suffer to the extent some businesses will and we should return to our normal operating schedule quicker than many.
The health and welfare of our team members, our client’s team members, and the communities we serve is of critical importance. We recommend the following protocols for our team members, and we recommend you take appropriate steps to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Specifically, we ask that you and your fellow team members follow the guidance issued by the CDC and state and local public health agencies, including taking these preventative actions:
It is our expectation you will review these preventative actions. It is also our expectation you will not visit any client if you are subject to a self-quarantine recommendation from the CDC or another public health agency resulting from potential exposure to COVID-19 or recent travel to certain countries.
AAGD is working closely with the teams at the Texas Apartment Association and National Apartment Association, to ensure you have the most up-to-date information available. Below are links to the different resources available on their sites. With information surrounding COVID-19 evolving daily, we prefer to link you directly to the information from these organizations, to ensure the highest relevancy and accuracy for you.

Tax Deadline Extension
The IRS has moved Tax Day from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020. While individuals, families, and businesses have an additional 90 days to file and make payments without interest or penalties, those who may receive tax refunds should file now to get your money.
To provide financial relief for those who have been laid off due to COVID-19, Congress has provided $1 billion in emergency administrative grants to increase state capacity to process unemployment applications, make payments, and provide a federally funded extra week of benefits.
Mortgages and Rent
At the direction of President Trump, all evictions and foreclosures on HUD-backed properties have been suspended and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have been directed to suspend all foreclosures and evictions for at least 60 days for homeowners with mortgages backed by the government-sponsored enterprises.
President Trump’s Administration has set interest rates for borrowers with federally held student loans to 0 percent for the next 60 days.
School Meal Assistance
Several school districts are providing grab-and-go meals, or other food assistance services to students and families in need during the COVID-19 outbreak. The Texas Education Agency has created a tool for parents to help them to locate LEA facilities serving meals.
Meal Assistance for Seniors
H.R. 6201 provided $250 million for the Senior Nutrition program. If you are in need or know somebody in need of meal delivery, please contact your local Meals on Wheels.
CXC Interview Portal: https://hire.li/c19f602
We have opened our digital interview portal, so any candidate can log in and record an introductory interview. This will allow us to practice social distancing and to be able to forward interviews to clients once they are ready to resume hiring. Please use this link and you can record your interview on any video enabled device.
This is a very trying time for all of us and it will take all of us working together to get this behind us. A return to normal operations while continuing to practice safe social interaction hopefully will happen sooner rather than later.
Please stay safe and God Bless all of us,
CEO/Founder – CXC Talent Solutions
